Three Skeleton Key by SeizureDemon Three Skeleton Key by SeizureDemon
This is a drawing I did for Super Haunted Stories.com. They were doing a countdown for Halloween of 13 spooky vintage radio shows! This is a story called "Three Skeleton Key" about killer rats and staring Vincent Price! You can listen to it here: [link] and check out the other radio shows. They're pretty scary for being so old!

Hello! I would like to notify you that I've featured you on my surreal and abstract art blog over on Tumblr. Your work really fits the theme, and you can see it on artagainstsociety.tumblr.com. Of course, I have given you credit and linked to your page. If for any reason you don't want it published any longer, just send me a message and I'll delete it pronto. Thanks, and congratulations! Your art is beautiful. Please note: If you don't see your art right away on my blog, it is probably still in the queue and has yet to be posted.

ps: I'd like to post more of your art, please let me know if that can be allowed! With your page cited of course :)

There's still modern horror radio being produced, but I do love the classic stuff too! :)

Ooh, yes! More Vincent Price! I listened to "Three Skeleton Key" a couple of years ago and it's a truly creepy story -- the most frightening old-time radio horror story I've heard yet (and I've heard quite a few!). It's disturbingly claustrophobic and the way Price describes the legions of rats is truly horrifying. He performed two slightly different versions of the story for radio (a couple of years apart) but of the two, one of them (the earlier one?) is the scarier version I think, because he gives a truly electrifying performance. The terror and desperation in his voice is more intense, at times he sounds almost delirious with fear. It's a real nail-biter!

Excellent drawing by the way, I love the way you draw Vincent Price! ♥

That character is based on Vincent Price, since Tim Burton and Price worked together at the beginning of his career.

Hm, sounds very familiar. I think I might have heard a few of those! I followed a vintage horror radio podcast for a while, they probably played some of those.

For the briefest of seconds, I could have sworn that was Andrew Ryan.

...I guess the rats represent the splicers infesting Rapture. *Shrug.* Dunno if you've ever played Boyo'shock.
